The Understanding Science series\nintroduces scientific vocabulary and concepts gradually, usinf fun activities,\nand with buit-in support. The Understanding Science books have been designed for\nuse by the teacher as well as the parent. Each is divided into four sections,\naccording to the four major science strands. The units within each strand are\nclearly defined and easy to use, and can stand alone or fit into any existing\nprogramme. Resources pages are included at the end of each section, so that\nparticular activities and topics can be extended or developed. '
